DA World Tour: NY meet was VERY nice!
The speed walking to Central Park from Penn Station wasn't ( speed walking 2 miles because I'm still clueless about how to navigate the subway... ). But hey, Christine and I got a DAMN good workout from it!

We thought we were going to be able to make it there in good time, because we've both walked 2 miles before in about a half hour to 45 minutes, however... I almost forgot about the Pride events that were happening all day, and just how CROWDED 7th Avenue gets on Sundays, especially since they started closing off certain sections of roads to cars on Sundays, making it purely pedestrian traffic ( kind of like how they used to do in Harajuku in Japan ). VERY neat idea, and it seems to be catching on, but not so neat when you're trying to get to a scheduled event on time. XP Ah well, we made it, though!
I brought my 1st year San Diego Comic Con pony, Super Pony, with me, for a mini-photo shoot and to shoot around various areas of NYC and the meet. Got 2 DAMN good ones of her at the Bethesda Fountain, where the meet was held, and she joined my friend, Christine, for a shot with one of the CREEPY-ass Elmo's that was taking donations en route to Central Park on 7th Ave. Elmo creeps me out to begin with, like BARNEY kind of creep, but this was the CREEEEEEEPIEST Elmo ever. Me thinks he was checking Christine out from behind his Elmo-suit. And in a bad-touch kind of way.
I wasn't feeling so hot, so I didn't really mingle much at all, but I DID get to meet some really nice people from here on DA!

I know there were more, but sadly, I didn't get everyone's names

. If I missed your name, please, speak up!
Also got some sketching done, an anthro version of Super Pony, which I now plan to clean up, add a New York City skyline, bring to tightened pencils, ink, digitally paint, and print as a poster to sell at the New York Anime Festival this year. I'll post that sketch within the hour, along with another I did about 2 hours ago for work, and the inks for the Jack Skellington sticker design.
About the new things that are in the planning stages for here on DA, which $
spyed explained to us , welllllll... you'll have to wait and see for yourself! All I will say is that the groups feature is a FANTASTIC idea, aaaaand, if you plan on using this, you will LOVE the new and improved portfolios. X3
Later taters!
