So I've FINALLY broken down.
I'm FINALLY creating MLP: FiM fanart.

HOWEVER... I'm doing this my way, dearies! Everyone and their grandma is doing artwork of the gals of Friendship is Magic.

I will be doing a line of NOTHING but the guys! Why? Because the male ponies just don't seem to get enough love from the FiM fandom.

The second of the boys series shall be:

~Braeburn, the AAAAAAAAAPPLoosan~

He's just too fun and adorable, and I love him in the fanfic, "Apple Branches"!

Colors are FINISHED!

As promised, done in simple flat tones, animation style, and then slapped with random brushes and patterns for the background.

India ink and brush on 11 x 8.5 inch card stock, scanned, enlarged, and colored in Photoshop CS3.

Will be made into 10 x 15 inch prints for BroNYCon January.

And no worries, still working on both commission lists, this and the Big Mac x Caramel piece are just quickies for this week. A little break for me.

This is the first time I've seen an artist make a more realistic pony drawing and it actually looks good.

There are actually quite a few of us in the fandom, but we're from the older part of the fandom. I think they're just more difficult to find because when people think, "My Little Pony art style", there are certain styles they tend to automatically think about.

Thank you for the compliment! Personally I think it's more fun to be able to incorporate one's own style into their favorite characters than trying to mimic the style of someone else. And I'll admit, I've loved drawing cartoony styled horses ever since I was a little girl. Even then, I could never bring myself to draw even the original G1 ponies in the G1 style. It had to be my style, or none at all. I just kinda wish my parents had saved all of those old sketches from my childhood in the 1980's. ^^ I have some, but only ONE of the old pony sketches and it's sadly falling apart. ;~;

I saw mention of a POSSIBLE rodeo based Applejack episode coming up soon ( thanks to the EQ ), so the possibility of Braeburn coming back is pretty high! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm planning on doing something with Celestia and Luna's guards / chariot pegs. Seems like it would be fun, especially we've only seen Luna's chariot pegs once.
