Big Apple Ponycon mascot anthro ponies roughs1by =Bee-chan

WIP!

Been wanting to draw the pony mascots for Big Apple Ponycon ever since I first saw them. But nope, I'm NOT drawing them in their regular pony forms. Not happening! NOPITY NOPE!

I don't know why, but I can just see Cabbie as a big and built Percheron, like a big, hard working, slightly intimidating looking pony who is really just a big sweetheart of a teddy bear. I may have to hold back on the feathering around his hooves, though, if that's the case. Besides, he's a New York City cabbie, he's GOTTA be tough!

Liberty comes across as a super bubbly, caffeine induced kinda gal who would be the one to drag Cabbie and Bowtie into problematic situations. I'd imagine her personality is kinda like that of Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun from Slayers.

Bowtie, VERY classy, hoity toity-ish, LOVES glam and glitz ( oh goodness, you know I'm going to have fun drawing future pictures of this boy. X3 ).

And no worries, they won't remain nekkid. Because the project I'm entering this in to once it's finished MUST be PG-13, I WILL be designing clothing for all three ponies, and making sure they don't parade around Brooklyn in their skivvies.

That being said, does anyone want to help me come up with ideas for their clothing?

Sketched in ArtRage Studio. And I plan on doing as much of this piece as possible on Livestream. The final inks and colors will be done using TRADITIONAL mediums, however, so unless I can get my hands on video editing software ( because Windows Movie Maker was never put into Windows 7... damn you, Microsoft! ), you might not see that process.

OH fantastic! I think they're really fun! I like the poses! Lib's hair is spot on, she's kind of like the lady in the harbor, yano? and Cabbie's a character alright, straight outta central casting. I can tell already that Bowtie will be my favorite, and not just because he;s got a G1/G3 name! He's just so gorgeous.

Bowtie is going to end up being such a pretty boy. XP I have to admit, though, Kar... you KNOW where my mind is going with him and Cabbie, and maaaaaaybe Lib. I'll keep it all kosher and pg, in future artwork of them, I promise. I'll be a good Bee!

I'm starting to love him as well. Pretty boys are just too fun to draw, and well muscled guys like Cabbie... it's aaaaall about those arms, chest, and shoulder muscles for me. Any excuse I get to draw that!
